 * Points of articulation (makharij) and letter characteristics
 * Rules of noon sakinah, tanween and meem sakinah
 * Qalqalah, and heavy and light letters (tafkheem and tarqeeq)
 * The types of madd and their lengths in Hafs

## Do I need to turn on my camera?

No. Many of our students study audio-only. The teacher shares the Mushaf page on
screen and listens to your recitation. If you study with a camera, only you and
the teacher are in the class.

## In what order are the rules taught?

 1. The points of articulation (makharij).
 2. Noon sakinah and tanween.
 3. Meem sakinah.
 4. Qalqalah.
 5. Heavy and light letters (tafkheem and tarqeeq).
 6. The types of madd and their lengths.

Every rule is applied to ayat from the Mushaf in the same class. [See the six stages with explanations](https://elquranonline.com/en/tajweed/).

## Who is this course for?

 * Women who read the Quran but are not sure their recitation is correct.
 * Mothers who want to teach their children correct recitation.
 * Women memorizing who want to memorize with Tajweed from the start.
 * Women preparing for the ijazah track.

## What happens in a class?

The teacher explains one rule with an example from the Mushaf, then you recite and
she corrects your delivery verse by verse. The class ends with the verses to practise
before next time.

Every week you get a short written report: what was covered, recurring mistakes,
and next week’s goal.
