# Editorial policy and academic review

**Every lesson on this site is written by one of our teachers and reviewed by another
teacher with ijazah before it is published.** Verses are copied from the Madinah
Mushaf.

## Who writes and reviews the content?

Lessons are written by the academy’s teachers and reviewed by another teacher with
ijazah before publishing. The date of the last review is shown at the top of every
lesson.

## How is content checked?

 1. **Every rule is matched to its source**, such as Tuhfat al-Atfal by al-Jamzuri
and al-Muqaddimah al-Jazariyyah by Ibn al-Jazari, and ash-Shatibiyyah for the riwayat.
 2. **Verses are copied, never typed**, in Uthmani script from the Madinah Mushaf (
King Fahd Complex), riwayah of Hafs.
 3. **The riwayah is stated**: rules follow Hafs ʿan ʿAsim via ash-Shatibiyyah unless
    another riwayah is named.
 4. **Valid differences are mentioned**, such as four or five counts in the connected
    and separated madd.

## Where do the numbers come from?

Durations are general estimates with the calculation shown, such as 604 Mushaf pages
divided by the daily amount. We do not publish student statistics without a documented
source.

## Use of AI tools

We may use tools to help with wording and proofreading, but every Tajweed rule and
Quranic example is reviewed by a teacher with ijazah before publishing, and the
academy is responsible for the content.

## Corrections

If you find a mistake, email [info@elquranonline.com](https://elquranonline.com/en/editorial-policy/info@elquranonline.com)
with the page link. We correct academic errors within 7 days and note what changed
at the bottom of the page.

## What we don't publish

 * Student numbers, success rates or reviews we cannot document.
 * Statistics without a named, linked source.
 * Rulings on matters outside Tajweed and recitation; we refer those to qualified
   scholars.
 * Teachers’ personal details without their consent.

## How often is content reviewed?

Lessons are reviewed when a student reports a mistake, when a common question shows
something is unclear, and at least once a year. The review date shown on the page
changes only when a teacher actually reviews it.

## Start with a free class this week

Tell us the student's age, level and a good time. We match a teacher and you meet
them in the first class, free and with no card.
