What will I learn?
- A daily and weekly revision wird
- Recitation to the teacher from random starting points
- Listing and fixing your mutashabihat
- Improving delivery and Tajweed in recitation
How does the first class work?
The teacher asks you to recite from several random places across what you have memorized. From that test they set your daily revision amount, mark the passages that need the most work, and list your recurring mistakes in similar verses.
What kinds of revision are in the program?
| Type | What is revised | When |
|---|---|---|
| Recent revision | Roughly the last two weeks of memorization | Daily |
| Long-cycle revision | Everything else, split across the days | A full cycle set by the plan |
| Recitation to the teacher | Random places across everything memorized | Every class |
| Reciting in prayer | From what is memorized | Daily |
Signs you need structured revision
- You stall at the start of pages or surahs.
- You confuse similar ayat (mutashābihāt).
- You need to look at the Mushaf to continue.
- You slip from one surah into another without noticing.
What happens in a class?
You recite the set wird, the teacher tests you from random places, and notes your mistakes and mutashabihat to revise in the next class.

Frequently asked questions
How many juz do I revise in a class?
The teacher decides based on how strong your memorization is, usually after a test recitation in the first class.
I memorized as a child and forgot a lot. Is this course for me?
Yes. The teacher first measures what is still strong, then builds a plan to restore the rest.
Can I revise a juz every day?
Yes, if your time allows; it is a common routine among huffaz. The teacher starts lower and builds up.
Does this lead to an ijazah?
Many students revise until their memorization is firm, then move on to the ijazah track.
